BankAround.com Lets You "Shop" For Banks
I’m excited to announce a new project I am involved in that could revolutionize the way we choose our checking accounts and CDs: BankAround.com.
What is BankAround?
Put simply, BankAround is a comparison shopping Web site for banks. Just like you might use Orbitz or Expedia to decide which hotel and airline to book for your next vacation, you can use BankAround to decide where to open your next checking or savings account. After all, most of us wouldn’t buy a big ticket item without determining what product has the features we want and what store has the best price. Why should banking products be any different?
On BankAround’s homepage, you can view the top bank interest rates nationally, or you can search for banks by state, region, rate, and how long you want to save. Give BankAround a try now and compare banks (it’s totally free).
What am I doing at BankAround?
I wish I could take credit for the technology for the curtains at BankAround, but alas I’m not a programming genius, I’m a mere blogger. I am, however, hard at work on the BankAround blog, delivering daily doses of personal finance advice and news slanted towards the consumer banking world. I’m just getting going, but will be posting regularly there as I do here. Check it out, and let me know if you have a story idea!
