What advantage would you say your prepaid cards offer over other products such as debit cards or credit cards?

This isn't meant as an attack or anything I'm just curious from your businesses perspective what you really offer your customer. This question is somewhat coming from my own ignorance as I have limited exposure to prepaid cards.

nFinanSe is an issuer of Visa and Discover branded prepaid cards. We believe we are one of the "good guys" in this industry. Our cards retail for a low $3, monthly and reload fees are only $2.95, we offer free, 24/7 bilingual customer service, free access to living, breathing cardholder specialists, no fees for PIN or signature transactions, no overdraft fees, plus free cell and/or email notifications. The fact is, the more educated the consumer is about these cards, the better it is for us. Our goal is to become a brand name that is synonymous with delivering better products at better prices.

While I have both credit cards and a debit card, I tend to use the debit card the vast majority of the time.

The only time I switch to credit is when I want the protection of working with the company if a purchase goes sour.

Raising rates shouldn't bother any credit card user that is using their credit card responsibly because they never carry a balance on their card but just pay it off in full each month.

In response to your suggestion for mentioning fair prepaid cards:
UPside Visa cards have less fees than even the Wal-Mart Moneycard, and come with a mobile and Facebook access.

(admittedly self-interested since my company runs that program)

Peer-to-peer lending is something I've recently discovered. Not quite reading to take the plunge and lend, but I will be looking into it next year.
