Over the weekend I learned that my submission won the “Editor’s Choice” category in NetWorthIQ’s April personal finance tip contest!

My tip was basically an iteration of the age-old wisdom “don’t try to keep up with the Jones’.”

I believe, however, it’s truly difficult to reach any financial goal if you’re worried about having things others have or, conversely, worried about what others will think as you accumulate wealth.
