I like your post and i think this might be on topic to treating your finances like a business. I put myself on a "payroll." I have a separate bank account from my main bank and brokerage that receives a fixed amount every Friday. This money is the only money I have access to in my wallet (besides emergency credit card). This money is for food, fun and gas. I get payed biweekly from my job, but my personal "payroll" pays me every friday a safe amount that fits my savings plan and enables me to spend with no guilt and budget without too much hassle. I give myself a 3% raise every year no matter how big of a raise I get at work. I really do feel like I am working for myself, but mostly i feel like a salaried CEO of my own corporation. Cool blog, keep up the good work.
