The Capital One Venture X Rewards Credit Card is one of the latest cards in Capital One’s lineup and its most premium to boot.

And it comes in strong – offering 75,000 bonus miles once you spend $4,000 on purchases within the first 3 months from account opening. Tack on $200 back in statement credits for vacation rentals charged to your account in the first year (limited-time offer), and it’s a heavy-hitter contender in the travel rewards space.

Even though the card comes with a steep annual fee of $395, this bonus offer is a hard one to pass up.

If you’ve been looking for a premium travel credit card to beef up your travel rewards, the Capital One Venture X Rewards Credit Card may just be the one.

You’ll find other features that may make the price tag worth it, including:

10x miles on hotels and rental cars when booked through Capital One Travel.

➥ 5x miles on flights when booked through Capital One Travel.

Unlimited 2x miles on all other purchases.

Up to $300 back as annual statement credits for bookings through Capital One Travel.

➥ Additional 10,000 bonus miles (equal to $100 towards travel) each account anniversary.

Up to $100 credit for Global Entry or TSA PreCheck®.

The Capital One Venture X Rewards Credit Card is best suited for excellent credit borrowers

Okay, before you run out and snag one of the better bonuses out there, take a step back and make sure you’re not going to take a blow to your credit score just to get your application denied.

The Capital One Venture X Rewards Card does require excellent credit in order to qualify, meaning you’ll likely need a score above 740.

That means first-time credit card holders likely will have a tough time qualifying. Plus, they’re better off sticking with a card for younger borrowers. (You can find a list of our favorites here).

If you’re looking to level up your travel game – this is the card for you

Now, for the slightly more experienced credit card handler who is looking to ramp up their travel rewards strategy, the Capital One Venture X Rewards Card is extremely attractive.

Yes, you will need to pay a $395 annual fee. But, with the 75,000 bonus miles and all the credits and perks, you’ll easily come out ahead of the annual fee in the first year – and you’re left with enough to take a pretty sweet vacation.
